Cat houses at a range of prices

A cat house gives your cat a bed of its own, where it can hide, play and scratch. The range brings together two families: cardboard houses with scratchers, for indoors, and Oxford fabric or plastic shelters for the garden, the balcony or all year round. To choose, start with where it will go, then think about your pet’s size.

Cardboard houses with scratchers

Corrugated cardboard doubles as a hiding place and a scratching surface:

Outdoor shelters

For a cat that lives outdoors, or a stray you feed, an Oxford fabric or plastic shelter can sit on a patio or under a canopy:

  • the insulated all-season kennel, in Oxford fabric that its product page describes as insulating, from S to L;
  • the camouflage shelter, easy to put up according to its product page, in three sizes;
  • the waterproof Oxford fabric house, in grey, green or camouflage, with or without a door;
  • the black house with a raised base, which its product page recommends for winter;
  • the rigid plastic house with windows, and the ventilated house, both easy to clean.

For indoors and summer

The foldable 4-season tent, in faux linen and velvet, folds up and travels with you. The raised house comes with cooling packs according to its product page, with or without accessories. The plastic house with a lift-off roof comes apart and is designed for indoors. For an enclosed play area, the foldable playpen with tunnel comes in two sizes, and the foldable double house even includes a litter tray.

Which cat house should you choose?

  • Playful indoor cat: a cardboard house with a scratcher, kept near its usual bed.
  • Large cat: the two-level vertical house, or a shelter in size L.
  • Cat outdoors in winter: the insulated house, the camouflage shelter or the raised black house.
  • Cat and dog in the same home: the plastic houses and the shelters designed for both.

FAQ

What’s the best bed for a cat?

The one it adopts. Many cats love an enclosed bed, up high or away from foot traffic. Put the house in a quiet corner, with a cushion or blanket that carries its scent.

Is there a wooden cat house?

Not in this range: the models are cardboard, Oxford fabric or plastic, with no wood. Cardboard can be scratched, fabric folds away, and the product pages describe the plastic houses as easy to clean.
