A hanging hammock hooks onto the ceiling, a hook or a beam, like a little swinging nest:

Fitting a window hammock properly

Clean the glass and the suction cups before fitting, on a smooth surface with no seal. Press each suction cup down firmly, then check the hold by pulling on the hammock before letting your cat climb in. Check the suction cups from time to time: heat and cold can loosen them. Choose a spot your cat can reach and leave easily, for example above a piece of furniture or a cat scratcher.

Can a window hammock hold a cat's weight?

It all depends on the model and how it's fitted. Check the weight given on the product page where there is one (the crescent hammock is rated up to 12 kg), fit it on clean glass and check the suction cups regularly.

Where should you put your cat's hammock?

Where it already likes to rest: near a sunny window, a radiator, or in a quiet, raised corner of the room. A cat takes to a hammock faster when it sits on its usual route.

Can you wash a cat hammock?

On several models the cushion is removable; the wooden hammock with cosy cushion is described as washable. Follow the care instructions on each product page.
