Cat and kitten beds at a range of prices

Thirteen cosy beds for cats and kittens: round plush baskets, semi-enclosed cocoons, tunnels, rectangular beds and fun shapes. Most are designed for dogs and cats, a few for cats only. To choose, start from the way your cat sleeps: curled up, stretched out or hidden away.

Round baskets and fun shapes

A round cat bed with high sides is the bed for a cat that sleeps curled up:

  • the cosy popcorn-shaped basket, in soft polyester with memory foam, 40 or 50 cm in diameter;
  • the vintage noodle-bowl basket, in cotton polypropylene, 40 or 50 cm;
  • the Kemorela round basket in thick plush, for dogs and cats, in grey, green or pink, from S to L;
  • the frog-shaped round basket, in green plush, in M or L, for a cat or a small dog;
  • the woven basket with ears and tail, breathable and stable according to its product page, in beige, grey or green, 35 to 46 cm in diameter.

Cocoons, caves and tunnels for hiding

Many cats love an enclosed shelter. These models work as a little house or cat cave:

  • the Ultra-Cosy Zen Cocoon Nest, in blue, pink or yellow, designed according to its product page for a cat's instinct to hide;
  • the cosy winter cocoon, in green, white or purple, in M (48 x 30 x 20 cm) or L, with a washable cushion and non-slip base;
  • the striped semi-enclosed bed, in soft polyester, with a reversible cushion, in blue or pink;
  • the plush tunnel and basket, with two entrances and a washable cushion, for playing, hiding and sleeping;
  • the two-level felt tunnel basket, in light grey or dark grey, in S or L.

Rectangular beds and banana bed

For a cat that stretches out, or shares its bed with a small dog:

  • the all-comfort rectangular bed, with soft padding and thick sides, from S (40 x 30 cm) to XL (70 x 50 cm);
  • the soft banana bed, from S to 2XL, with a fruity design;
  • the rectangular bed in Oxford fabric, in black or grey, from M to 3XL, hard-wearing according to its product page.

Which bed should you choose for your cat or kitten?

  • Kitten: a compact kitten bed it can snuggle into, such as the popcorn or the noodle bowl in 40 cm.
  • Cat that sleeps curled up: a round plush basket or the woven basket.
  • Shy cat: a semi-enclosed cocoon or a tunnel, so it has a hiding place.
  • Playful cat: the plush tunnel or the two-level felt tunnel.
  • Cat and small dog at home: a rectangular bed or the Kemorela basket, in size M or L.

Choosing the right size and spot

Measure your cat curled up, then compare with the diameter or dimensions on the product page: it should be able to turn around inside. For a kitten, pick the size for the adult it will become if you want to keep the same bed. Put the bed in a quiet corner indoors, away from busy areas, near a gentle heat source in winter. A washable cushion is cleaned according to its product page; for the others, shake and air the plush regularly. Add a blanket it knows: its scent helps it take to its new hideaway.

FAQ

What's the difference between a round cat bed, a basket and a cat bed?

A round cat bed means a cosy round basket with high sides that the cat curls up in. A flat bed is lower and larger, for stretching out; a cocoon or cave adds a roof for hiding.

Can you wash a cat bed?

It depends on the model: the winter cocoon and the plush tunnel have a washable cushion. For the others, check the product page.
