Double dog leads at a range of prices

Twelve models for walking two dogs or more with one hand: two-strand leads on a single handle, couplers that clip onto your lead, hands-free versions and retractables. To choose, start from your dogs' size, the difference in size between them and the way you walk.

Two-strand leads

The classic double dog lead joins two strands on a single handle, with nothing to assemble:

• the comfort model with padded handle, in nylon, tangle-free according to its product page, in 100 or 120 cm lengths;
• the elastic version with 360° swivel, in climbing rope and nylon with a foam handle, described as no-pull on its product page, in seven colours;
• the double, triple or quadruple model, with 2 to 4 strands on an EVA foam handle, in red, black or blue;
• the braided nylon triple lead, for three small to medium dogs.

Double couplers

A coupler clips onto the clip of your usual lead and splits into two strands, one per dog:

• the ColorDuo double coupler, adjustable and elastic, in reflective nylon, designed for two dogs of different sizes;
• the tangle-free coupler, braided and reflective, in black, red, blue or purple;
• the 2-in-1 model, which works as a lead or an elastic coupler, twist-free according to its product page;
• the 1.5 m reflective version with coupler and thick foam handle.

Hands-free double leads

For running or keeping your hands free on walks, a belt replaces the handle:

• the 2-in-1 multi-function denim model, adjustable, which switches from double to single;
• the pastel version, in polyester, for running and town alike.

Double retractable leads

A retractable model gives each dog their own length:

• the lantern model, with built-in LED light and 360° swivel, designed for small dogs;
• the model with independent brakes, with one brake per nylon tape and a 360° system against tangling.

How to choose a double dog lead

• Two dogs of similar size who walk together: a two-strand model on a single handle.
• Two different sizes: an adjustable double coupler, so you can set the length of each strand.
• Two large dogs: a model with a padded handle, for a comfortable grip.
• Two small dogs: the retractable with lantern, or the triple version for a third.
• Sporty: a hands-free model.
• Three or four dogs: the multi-dog model with 3 or 4 strands.

Before buying, check the length of the strands: too short and the dogs get in each other's way; too long and they cross over. A 360° swivel or tangle-free model is listed on the product pages to limit tangling.

FAQ

Can you walk two dogs at once?

Yes, as long as each one already walks well on a lead alone. Start with short outings together on a quiet route before longer walks. If one of them pulls a lot, keep them on a separate lead at first.

What type of lead for two dogs?

A double lead with one handle if your dogs walk at the same pace, a coupler if they're different sizes, a hands-free model for running, a retractable to give them room. One classic lead per dog is still possible, but leaves you no hand free.
