Window cat hammocks at a range of prices
A window cat hammock attaches to the glass and gives your cat a high, sunny spot to watch the world go by. The range brings together ten models: suction-cup hammocks in fabric, PVC or macramé, a two-tier model, and wooden or iron beds and perches. The right choice depends on your cat’s weight, your window and the style of the room.
Suction-cup window hammocks
Most attach with suction cups, with no drilling:
- the crescent-shaped hammock, in polyester, grey or blue, with a removable cushion, up to 12 kg according to its product page;
- the tough fabric model, in beige, silver or black, perfect for lounging in the sun;
- the beige PVC hammock, described as easy to install and stable;
- the two-tier hammock, in breathable Oxford fabric, in grey, blue or black, with two spots at different heights;
- the hammock with a removable arctic fleece cushion, available with a bed or with a scratcher depending on the colour chosen, for windows or balconies.
Macramé hammocks
For a boho interior, two woven macramé models: the Boho model, in polyester, and the cream hanging macramé hammock measuring 43 x 28 cm, with strong suction cups and a small hanging toy.
Wooden or iron models
For a sturdier frame with a proper cushion, three wooden or iron models:
- the wooden hammock with cosy cushion, measuring 44 x 32 x 53 cm, with a washable PP cotton cushion;
- the hanging window bed in white wood and natural wood, with a soft cushion;
- the iron perch, measuring 52 x 30 cm, with a plush cushion, the priciest product in the range.
Which window cat hammock should you choose?
- Small budget: the crescent or the PVC model.
- Several cats: the two-tier model.
- Cat that also loves to scratch: the version with a scratcher.
- Stylish décor: macramé or wood.
- Cat that loves a thick cushion: a wooden or iron model.
Where should you put your cat's hammock?
Cats love watching the outside world: birds, passers-by, cars. Choose a window where your cat already sits, ideally sunny for part of the day and easy to reach from a piece of furniture, a ledge or a cat tree placed right next to it. Avoid glass that’s often opened or a sliding window that moves every time someone passes: the fixing must stay on a fixed surface.
For a heavy or large cat, compare the maximum load and dimensions given on each product page: the crescent is rated to 12 kg, the hanging macramé measures 43 x 28 cm, the wooden model 44 x 32 x 53 cm and the iron perch 52 x 30 cm. If two cats fight over the spot, the two-tier model gives each its own resting place.
Fitting a suction-cup hammock properly
Clean the glass and the suction cups before fitting, on a smooth, dry surface. Press firmly, wait before the first nap, then test the hold by hand. Check the maximum weight shown on the product page and inspect the suction cups from time to time, especially when the temperature changes.
FAQ
Is there a model without suction cups?
Most of our models attach with suction cups. For the wooden or iron beds and perches, the fixing method is also described on each product page: read it before choosing if your glass isn’t suitable.
Can I attach this hammock to a radiator?
It’s a different product: a radiator cat bed hooks onto the radiator, not the glass. See our range of Radiator cat beds.
How much does a window hammock cost?
It depends on the model: fabric hammocks are the most affordable, while wooden or iron models cost the most.
