It no longer ends up across the room — non-slip base that stays put while he pushes

Eats more slowly — ridges they have to work around, so they slow down — less bringing up after meals

The floor stays clean — the rims catch what gets pushed out of the bowl

Raised Ceramic Dog Bowl – Bone Design & Wooden Stand

Raised dog bowl for large dogs or dogs with arthritis

A large dog eating off the floor bends his neck and front legs with every mouthful. For an older dog, one with arthritis or one recovering, that position becomes really painful, and many end up eating less simply because bending down hurts.

A raised bowl takes away that strain. What matters is the exact height and stability – a stand that tips puts a dog off for good. That's how we sort our raised dog bowls.

Gamelle Céramique Élevée pour Chien, visuel produit

Height, stability and bowls: what matters day to day

Too high and he stretches his neck upwards and swallows air; too low and you've gained nothing. Check the bowls lift out for washing. A mat under the adjustable stainless steel raised dog bowl catches any spills.

  • Check it's stable – a raised dog bowl that tips over gets abandoned for good
  • Choose removable bowls: dishwasher-safe ceramic bowl; easy-wipe wooden stand
  • Keep water separate from food – many dogs drink less next to their food
  • Adjust the height as he grows – recheck every two months for a puppy
  • Put a mat underneath to catch spills
  • Split meals for large breeds – gastric torsion is still a real risk
Gamelle chien surélevée : Gamelle Céramique Élevée pour Chien

What height to set it at, and for which dogs

It makes sense for large dogs, older dogs, dogs with arthritis or recovering, and flat-faced breeds. For a young, small dog it brings nothing in particular.

In large deep-chested breeds, bear in mind that eating speed and exercise after meals matter more than height for the risk of gastric torsion. A slow feeder dog bowl may be even more useful.

A measurement to take yourself rather than trusting the stated sizes: measure from the floor to the bottom of the chest, with your dog standing and relaxed. Weight or breed charts are very rough, and five centimetres out is enough to cancel all the benefit.

FAQ

Stainless steel or plastic?

Stainless steel holds neither smells nor bacteria and goes in the dishwasher. Plastic scratches over time, and the scratches trap residue — a known cause of chin acne in cats.

Does the colour make any difference?

No: Green, Pink, Black and White share the same dimensions and the same finish. The choice is purely aesthetic.

Is it non-slip?

Check the specifications for a rubberised base: without one, a light bowl moves at every meal and ends up under the furniture.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Stainless steel and ceramic models, yes. Bowls with electronic parts or a reservoir are washed by hand, with the reservoir removed.
