Getting the photo, and recognising a refusal

A cat cooperates for a few dozen seconds, no more. Everything has to be ready: light, framing, treat. Put the accessory on last, shoot, take it off. Pushing for a second minute costs you the next ten sessions.

A cat that freezes completely isn't being good: it's petrified. Take it off immediately. And for a clearer result on camera, glasses stand out more than a hat on a long-haired cat.

A photography tip that applies to every accessory: shoot at eye level, never from above. Seen from above, the hat flattens the head and hides the eyes, and the photo disappoints whatever the accessory. At the cat's height, the silhouette reads instantly.

Does my dog really need a coat?

Short-haired dogs, small breeds and older dogs get cold quickly below 7 to 8 °C. A dog with a thick undercoat doesn't need one.

Which size should I choose?

This model comes in S, M and L. Go by your pet's measurements — chest girth and back length — rather than weight: two animals of the same weight don't have the same build. If you're between two sizes, go for the larger one.

Does it get in the way when he does his business?

Our models are cut away at the back. If your dog is male, check this in the photos: a cut-out that's too short is the classic flaw.
