Your dog stops choking — the pull goes through the chest and shoulders, not the windpipe

Less pulling from the very first walk — the chest attachment turns them towards you instead of letting them lean in with all their weight

He can't back out of it — straps adjust at several points: the harness fits his shape, not a standard size

Tough nylon, soft twill fabric — product material

Description
Cat harness in tough nylon with soft twill fabric. A cat backs away when held: only a harness that spreads the pressure across the chest and adjusts in two places stops it from reversing out.

Cat harness: going out without him escaping

A cat isn't a small dog: he backs up when you pull, and a plain collar slips over his head in two seconds. That's why a cat never goes out in anything but a harness — it's not about comfort, it's about him not getting away.

The right harness spreads pressure across the chest and adjusts in at least two places. A design that only tightens at the neck won't hold a determined cat, and that's the benchmark for every cat harness.

H-harness, vest or figure-of-eight: which one really holds

This one is made of tough nylon with soft twill fabric. Ergonomic harness with detachable watermelon backpack, suits medium-sized cats (adjustable chest girth) — measure the chest girth just behind the front legs: that's the measurement that matters, not your cat's weight. A vest-style harness spreads the pressure better than one with thin straps, but it's warmer in summer. Pair it with a cat harness with lead - bee pattern : a dog lead is too heavy and throws him off balance.

  • Measure the chest girth behind the front legs — this model suits medium-sized cats (adjustable chest girth)
  • Tighten to a two-finger gap: any looser and a cat will reverse out of it
  • Have him wear it at home first, for several days, before any outing
  • Go lightweight for a cat — a cat harness that's too stiff restricts his movement
  • Easy to care for: hand clean with a damp cloth, air dry
  • Go for a back clip — a neck clip won't hold a cat who backs up

Teaching a cat to walk in a harness, step by step

Training happens in three stages, with no forcing. First the harness alone at home, a few minutes a day, with a treat as a reward. Then the lead trailing indoors. Finally the outing, somewhere quiet and never on a busy pavement. Allow one to two weeks.

A cat who freezes and lies down isn't being stubborn: he's scared. Go back in and try again later. And plan for a cat lead with a light clip — the weight of a dog lead is enough to put a cat off.

One last pointer: never clip the lead back onto the collar “just in case”. A panicking cat spins round, and the collar tightens. The harness alone, properly adjusted, is both safer for him and more secure for you.

FAQ

Harness or collar?

A harness spreads the pull across the chest instead of focusing it on the windpipe. It's a must for small breeds, flat-faced breeds and any dog that pulls, even occasionally.

Which size should I choose?

This model comes in XS, S, M and L. Go by your pet's measurements — chest girth and back length — rather than weight: two animals of the same weight don't have the same build. If you're between two sizes, go for the larger one.

How do I adjust it?

Once adjusted, you should be able to slide two fingers flat between the strap and the fur. Any tighter and it rubs under the front legs; any looser and your dog can back out of it.

What is it made of?

Tough nylon, soft twill fabric. It's this material mix that sets the care routine: check the specifications for the right way to wash it.
