Dog feeding mats at a range of prices

10 mats to slip under water and food bowls, in three types: diatomite that absorbs, silicone that contains, polyester for a simpler feeding corner. Most work for cats too. Choose the material first, then the size, depending on how many bowls you need to fit.

Diatomite: the mat that soaks up water

The diatomite product pages describe an absorbent mat that soaks up water spilt from the bowl; one mentions quick drying:

  • the wood-effect diatomite mat, in S (20 x 30 cm), M (30 x 40 cm) or L (30 x 50 cm);
  • the absorbent cloud paw-shaped model, in five colours;
  • the printed bone-shaped version, yellow or grey, in 30 x 50 cm or 50 x 80 cm for a large feeding corner;
  • the absorbent bowl mat for dogs and cats, in brown, grey or light grey, in two sizes.

Silicone: raised edges and a waterproof surface

Silicone doesn’t absorb: it keeps water and kibble on its surface, which the bone-shaped model’s page calls hygienic.

  • The bone-shaped silicone mat, with raised edges, in grey, apricot and other shades.
  • The waterproof, non-slip mat that keeps kibble and splashes on its surface.
  • The non-slip silicone feeding mat, in L or XL, for two bowls side by side.
  • The lick mat with suction cups, combining a bowl, a licking surface and a slow-feeding game.

Patterned or plain

  • The waterproof daisy-pattern mat, from 30 x 40 cm to 50 x 60 cm.
  • The simple non-slip mat, in absorbent polyester with a clean design, in 40 x 60 cm or 43 x 70.5 cm.

Which dog feeding mat should you choose?

  • A dog who drinks fast and splashes: diatomite, which absorbs.
  • Kibble that rolls away: silicone with raised edges.
  • Water and food side by side: a large size, 50 x 80 cm or XL.
  • Small dogs or cats: size S in diatomite.
  • Eating too fast: the slow-feeder lick mat.

Measure before you order

Put the bowls on the floor, measure the space they take up together, then add a few centimetres all round: water rarely lands right at the foot of the bowl. For cleaning, follow each product page: the daisy pattern is described as easy to clean, the wood-effect model as easy-care.
